SSC MTS 2025 Exam Dates Announced
Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC MTS 2025 exam dates. As per the official notice dated 2 January 2026, the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025 will commence from 4 February 2026. The self-slot booking process will begin from 15 January 2026. Admit card, exam city intimation slip and further updates will be released on the official website ssc.gov.in.
SSC MTS 2025–26 Notification
SSC MTS 2025-26 notification was released on 26 June 2025, and the online application process started on the same day. On 2 January 2026, SSC officially announced the exam date. This year, SSC is recruiting a total of 8,021 candidates for Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar posts.

SSC announced a total of 8,021 vacancies. Earlier vacancies were 5,464 which were later increased. Out of total vacancies, 6,078 are for 18–25 years category, 732 are for 18–27 years category and 1,211 vacancies are for Havaldar posts.

SSC MTS 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be Indian citizens (or eligible categories). Educational qualification is Matriculation (Class 10). Age limit is 18–25 years for MTS and 18–27 years for Havaldar posts, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2026
CBT consists of two sessions conducted on the same day. Session I has no negative marking. Session II includes negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer. Each session is of 45 minutes.
SSC MTS Syllabus 2026
The syllabus includes General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness. Questions test basic reasoning, arithmetic, grammar, vocabulary and current affairs.
SSC MTS Salary 2026
SSC MTS and Havaldar posts are Pay Level-1 as per the 7th Pay Commission. These are General Central Service, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts.

Candidates should focus on syllabus-based preparation, practise mock tests and previous years’ papers, revise current affairs and maintain accuracy, especially in Session II due to negative marking.
