Official Update (January 2026)
Staff Selection Commission has officially released the latest update regarding the SSC MTS and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025–26. As per the official notice dated 2 January 2026, the Computer Based Test (CBT) will begin from 4 February 2026 onwards.
One of the most important changes this year is the self-slot booking system, which will start from 15 January 2026. Candidates will be able to choose their exam date and shift during this window. Those who fail to book a slot within the given time may get an auto-allotted shift, which often creates timing or travel issues.
The exam city intimation slip, admit card, and further instructions will be released on the official website ssc.gov.in. Candidates are strongly advised to check the website daily once slot booking starts.
SSC MTS is one of the most demanded government exams in India, especially for candidates who are 10th pass and looking for a stable central government job.

SSC will first release the exam city intimation slip, allowing candidates to know their city in advance.
